from 18 reviewsI use my Hario Switch pretty much daily, usually twice, as does my wife. I figured a metal switch is therefore a worthy investment, and I can confirm such.
The GoodSwitch looks and feels high quality, and there's even a satisfying little "clink" sound as it bounces against the Switch's steel ball when engaging or disengaging.
Along with being a drink, coffee is certainly a ritual, and silly upgrades like this strangely go a long way. So, if you're using your Switch as much as we are, and you have the cash, it's a worthy purchase.
This is a great upgrade that gives the switch a noticeably more premium and higher end feel, something it should have had from the factory. The original plastic switch works, but it lacks the solid, tactile feedback this version provides. This one feels precise, substantial, and far more in line with the overall quality of the product.
Very well made. Fit and finish is superb. Looks great on the switch.
Great product and seller. Highly recommend this if you want to elevate your pour over game.
Great product and service.Buy with confidence.
Elevates the switch experience, and removed plastic from the water pathway. Perfect.
Firstly, yes, this is a pricey upgrade - it's roughly the cost of three switches! Is it worth it? Definitely.
It's very well made - small batch stainless steel that's also DLC coated. It feels extremely premium and removes that plastic switch!! Plastic is not good for you.
The item shipped quickly, was packaged very nicely, and included a hand written note. Definitely nice touches. Would definitely order again.
Arrived quicker than expected. A hand written note was enclosed. I reallu appreciate that they took thetime to do that. Theswitch itself is beautiful, feels solid and works exactly as it should. I am very happy. Thank you.
It looks stunning and is rock-solid made. It's even better than i expected. Nice extra for the Hario Switch. Highly recommended.
Time after time and long after the damage has already been done, humanity discovers to our great surprise that biologically novel substances sold to them as "safe" turn out to be toxic . Yet despite widespread awareness of the toxicity of microplastics people continue to make hot coffee with "food safe" plastics. SMDH. Enter the Good Switch, replacing the one piece of plastic in Hario's Switch brewer with high quality and attractive metal. I'm glad I came across this product and highly recommend it to anyone who thinks maybe, just maybe, it's not a good idea to consume food prepared in the presence of plastic and heat.
Love this upgrade! It fits and functions exactly as I hoped, and the material and build are top notch.
I would recommend this to anyone looking to replace the plastic Switch lever.
The GoodSwitch is the perfect metal replacement for the plastic one. I'm pretty happy with it. I haven't found anything negative in my use of it.
When the metal switch hits the ball it makes a clinking sound. The sound surprised me the first time because I did not initially expect it.
If you're reading this review, then odds are you're like me in trying to reduce the amount of chemicals leeching into your food/drinks. The GoodSwitch is a great replacement for the original. switch. It fits just like the original and has a solid feel.
This piece makes the switch feel like a luxury product, with the added benefit of removing plastic from touching your hot coffee. I absolutely love it, and the DLC coating looks amazing. The switch is a great brewer, and the GoodSwitch takes it to the next level.
Really impressed with how well this project has turned out! I'm not personally the type to be concerned about plastics in the path of my brew water, but I find a ton of joy in interacting with premium materials and components in my daily routine. Where the original plastic lever always felt a bit mushy to me, the extra weight of the stainless steel makes for a very satisfying user experience. It's cemented the Switch as my absolute favorite brewer I own.
